I have been going out with this girl I work with for a while. It's no secret to others a work. Anyway, someone who I thought was was a friend has been texting my gf trying to hook up with her. She was uninteresed in anything he had to say and told me everything he said. She even showed me the messages. Naturally, I got really pissed. The kid knows shes my gf and is supposed to be a friend of mine. Well, the next day I went into work and I nailed him in the f'ing nose. I won't lie...it felt pretty great. I then quit (I was quiting the job allready but just left before I had planned).
I later found out he wasn't pressing charges or anything. I was curious though...what could some of the repercussions have been? What if I broke his nose and he ended up pressing charges? What is the punishment for a first time assault charge? Don't get me wrong. I would have still done it. I hate him.

dude, dont ever fight over a woman, that shows insecurity on your part, especially when everybody knows you did it! lol... i woulda put sugar in his gas tank, or something sneaky, he would of never known i got my revenge.....but i bet i wouldnt have to worrie about getting charges filed against me....see where i'm going with this? THe damage is done now, i hope you at least knocked the snot out of him.....

That is a civil matter and he could sue you for damages and lost wages.
