Because its just embedded into our brains to have relationships. Plus, horomones tend to make us more lovey dovey.
From the time we are little girls, we are given baby dolls to play with (thus, putting the idea of "family" and "taking care of babies" into our minds) where as boys are given army figures and fighting toys.

I think guys also want to be in a relationship too, but they have a hard time to admit it, that's all.

because the guys r the ones who hav to ask them out--traditionally.
they wont b the ones to hint, for they have to do the dirty work and ask neway.
the girls hint so that the guys kno that they will say yes
