No I don't think so. I think it is perfectly normal to want to seek someone who you can connect with. Life is very busy, with work, school, or kids, people don't have the time to invest in hoping to meet the right one at the grocery store. Is that more dignified?
The only thing you meet at bars is drunks.
Good for you for being proactive in being involved in your own destiny. He/she is not knocking at the door so why not go for it. You may come across a few lumps of coal but hopefully their is one diamond in the rough out there. Do what is right for you.

Nope, met the past 8 out of 10 girlfriends on the net. #10 is the most perfect mate, so, now we've been together 6 years.

The number of available women dictated that I make a choice, or else I would be dead from all the courting rituals I was invited to attend!

I say no. More people are probably on online dating sites than realy dates......besides I think it would be more embarrassing to find a gf or bf at a bar because you were drunk and needed someone to take ya home=D

Nope, not at all. I love dating sites for the simple fact that you can check people out from the safety of your home and you can basically read about them before deciding if they might be your type or not. You can't get convenience like that offine =)
