The carbohydrates they were made of turn into carbon dioxide (CO2) which we breathe out, and water, which goes to the kidneys and bladder.
If the carbohydrates is incompletely burned, the unused matter is digested anyway and becomes poop.

Basically they go through a series of chemical changes. Adenosine Triphosphate into Adenosine Diphosphate and lactic acid which builds up causing that sore feeling when you work out. Eventually what doesn't burn becomes poop

calories are used in pretty much everything... as your car runs on gasoline so the body runs on calories...it is what you need for all activities, for all protein synthesis, for all hormone production and also temperature regulation.
