You're not schizophrenic!

Laughter is a classic manifestation of Tourettes. People with Tourettes can seem perfectly normal except for occasional bursts of odd behavior. The weirdest Tourettes case I have ever seen pulled his own hair out compulsively, whereas the most normal was a person who made a repeated cough-hiccup sound like he had something stuck in his throat. Incidentally, the cough-hiccup dude is a martial arts master (who can and has kicked my ***) with a wife, children and a normal life in all respects.

Read here to diagnose yourself:

The only other thing that comes to mind is manic depressive, but that is long-term cycles instead of things that last for a few minutes at a time.

Everyone talks to themselves, but if it is all the time, yea i would see a shrink. The laughing part, you may just be a rly happy and excited person all the time and have a lot of energy that your body wants to let out. However, that excitement may be a cause of some mental illness. Just please go see a shrink, it will do you and your friends and family a world of good.

Say your homeless or something so you can go for free or at a discount :-P

Dont pay attention to these foolish little girls recommending a shrink. You are just a young kid with an upbeat attitude, and we all talk to ourselves. If you find yourself talking to yourself TOO MUCH, then obviously you need an additional human being to socialize with.
You probably have some sort of something going on with too much sugar or something, but would say that its not that severe. A trip to a psychiatrist isnt necessary, but I would recommend going to a regular Dr. if you really think something is wrong with you.
I would eat alot less processed sugar.

If your blood sugar goes low (hypoglycemia), your brain knows that exercising the lungs will help bring about a release of glucose (blood sugar) from the liver. Laughter and talking exercise the lungs.

Check out www.hufa.org - the symptoms link, to see if you have other symptoms of low blood sugar. If so, check out the low blood sugar link for info on what to do.

Have you painted a cardboard box up to look like a car and used it to go through the drive through at McDonalds yet?

If not... then my answer is no...

It's normal to a point but try to catch yourself just before you blurt out and eventually you will be able to control it.
