It's just them establishing their dominance over one another. It's a pack behavior. The easiest way to get them to stop is simply give a firm "NO" in a deep grumbly tone. And as long as you have already established yourself as the "Alpha" leader of the pack they will eventually stop this behavior. By you grumbling "NO" at them they will realize that you as the dominant leader of the pack are not going to tolerate that kind of behavior and they will stop doing it. BUT! I can't say that they will not do it when you are not around. But it will certainly make them refrain from it as much. Good luck

You aren't going to be able to do much, its just one of those things you have to live with when you mhave two male dogs. The humping is not a sexual thing as many people think, its a way that a dog shows his dominance. Its like he's saying "I'm in charge here ". You might try convincing them that neither of them is in charge, that you are in charge, this may cut down the humping a little, but I don't think completely.

Are they neutered? If so, then you have nothing to worry about. Your dogs are not "gay" they are just trying to establish who is the alpha dog (leader) and who will follow. Usually, that should not happen even if they are neutered, simply because dogs get along with each other no matter what.

If in case one of your dogs, or even both, are not neutered, you should consider doing them a favor and getting them snipped. Not only will they live longer, but they would be less proned to getting sick. There will be less fighting for dominance and they will have a more general acceptance of each other.

If this continues to happen, you can always try to break the habit by spraying them with water. Fill a spray bottle with water and every time you catch them at this humping, just spray them and they will stop.

good luck

to show power/rank/authority
its a natural force that both sexes have.
In nature, the dominant dog is the one who get the privilege of breeding receptive bitches. It is not “first come, first served” but truly a contest of mental and physical strength. Nature has designed the brain centers that control sexual behavior and dominant aggressive behavior to be confluent so that sex drive and the need for social/political success are virtually inseparable qualities in all group-living species. Even in the absence of sex hormones and “true” sexual motivation, the other half of the equation is still operational, however redundant that may seem.

This is how they try to establish dominance over each other. Most likely they will continue this until one of them becomes the dominant male. Call your local pet store and ask them for their advise on this.

I don't think I'd worry about it. I don't think it's a sexual act, more just a sign of affection and dominance.
If it really bothers you just phone the vet for some more professional advice but I don't think it's that big a problem. Just look away.
