I already know that it is a number from BC, Canada. My friend tried to call it back and it said it was not in service. I have had this number come up on my caller id when people I know have called. Any idea what this number is all about?

2 people that have called me with this number showing up were both calling from land lines. One had primus long distance, but the other did not. Now, for the one that did not, she used to but had cancelled it.

That number is a "mask number" from Primus TalkBroadBand (TBB). In other words someone is calling you from a Primus TBB line, and it comes to you as this fake number. This same number will be displayed in place of the real number for quite a few TBB numbers.

This number is a Voice Over IP (VOIP) head end. It is used by broadband company's to route calls to Canada. It takes the broadband call and switches it into the land line network. It may get calls from anyone. I'm sure there are lots from tele-marketers from whom knows where using it. Best best just hang up on them and don't return calls to this number. There are probably more numbers like this in different parts of the country.
