my husband has been taking zoloft for 10yrs or longer.they have tried many different meds, but zoloft seems to work best.it has a few side effects that are a nuisance, but the benefits far outweigh the side effects.is your dr wanting you to try it?if they have tried other drugs first with no success, then try it!good luck!

Yes used to help depression and anxiety, heard many antidepressants are not good for teens and maybe early 20s, brain is still developing and in a lot of cases has caused the depression to become worst.

I have used zoloft for 4yrs.

I use 100 mg per day unless really bad then I double up. Can't say anything about the energy level - also have Chronic Fatigue and Sever Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

Works good for depression though.

Yes....I take 50 mg per day. It's for depression, but I really wasn't depressed.....I was just very weak and tired all the time. It fixed me right up and I'm back to normal.

btw....my condition was due to prostate surgery and low testosterone levels.
