I am sure you have read all the answers and know it is Carpool tunnel release. Did you know the same thing happens to your ankle and they call it Tarsal tunnel release

i guess you meant fixing the carpal tunnel..which is a part in the front of our wrist that can cause problems when the nerves passing through get compressed...the syndrome usually arises from overuse or from other systemic conditions..the operation is a rather simple decompression that is just cut to release the pressure....

Basicly what they do is strip the nerve lining in the lower arm or wrist to relieve the pressure on the nerve system to relieve pain.
For some it works for a time , others it doen't help at all.
