I know for a fact in florida if you are even a resident card holder you can not get: medicaid, food stamps,or that money every month. So why do you say they take it?

You people really know nothing, illegals are too scared to mess with that little amount of money. I know you don't know some illegal that went down to get 2 or3 hundred dollars on a fake green card and ssn, so do not listen to things you are told.

Hi from NEBRASKA. One of those crazy states were we have not yet replace the unicameral and the governer who signed a bill into law to allow illegal aliens to get instate tituition. I will love to see the law suits come to judgement on this issue in this State.
I think that people say it because any achor baby entitles the baby the same rights as a citizen and that encludes medicare for the baby for the hospital and the live of the baby as it needs care it can apply and his mother and father are the ones spending the money not the legal baby.
Many use emergency rooms. This service of hospital care may or may not be rembursed by medicaid nationaly yet the home state's medicaid fund be billed by the hospital. Lack of funding has closed many CA hospitals because the are only rembursed at an aggreed upon rate by the Sate not like the ammounts that medicad pays. The difference has caused many health care facilities to stop taking or limiting the amount of Medicaid and Medicare insurance patients. It is better if they have suppliments but thats only Medicare and your talking about medicare. They have estimated the stats at about 40% of every dollar spent goes to illegal aliens. I am not sure

Why does everyone think an illegal can get gov. assistance:
Perhaps someone who is thousands of miles away from their homeland has no choice when it all falls apart but to reach out for help. Is there any assumption that they qualify for gov. assistance ?
Well depends, the Americans seem to feel they are civilized and kind, as do many other countries, and as such, promote an end to human suffering ?
I have never been an immigrant but I have travelled far from my homeland on ocassion, and for those who have travelled far and wide there is an understanding between us that goes beyond the sterile and often narrow views projected from a couch potatoes' color blind perspective.

It stands to reason that a person who has ALREADY BROKEN THE LAW by entering this country ILLEGALLY would just as soon break the law again and ILLEGALLY obtain benefits that they are not entitled to, by virtue of using ILLEGALLY obtained documents such as Social Security cards, etc. This is commonly referred to as identity theft, and is rampant in this country. Additionally, the benefits that are often obtained by the adults (who are here ILLEGALLY) are gotten because of the benefits available to an "anchor baby/child". Parents of such a baby/child are NOT asked for proof of citizenship. Not in Florida, not anywhere. This is just one more example of how dysfunctional all government agencies are when it comes to things like enforcing Federal law.
"Why do you say they take it"? I challenge you to walk into ANY public assistance office, and sit down for an hour or so - and THEN come back here and tell us how everything was just fine. If you are a working American CITIZEN, these are YOUR taxpayer dollars, hard at work. Enough already!!!

because people go and get a new name fake id and there are many ways but i don't plan on telling you incase you decided to use any of those recorces but they get those things and they are actually, on paper, as a legal citizen and then they get benifits also if florida is that strict then it is good and they need to tell california and other places how to go about it because the illegals that are manipulating the system are the reson that people are so resentful toward foriegners i personally wish that they would build a wall so large around our borders that you can't even see the light of day from the base

Because they find ways to obtain the "freebies". For one-their children get free education. Plus with the "bleeding heart liberals, it is easier for an illegal to get gov assistance than an real American.
Everyone wants something for free. The problem is it really isn't free. doens't matter if you are illegal or not. The problem is the rest of us ar "forced" to pay out that money in taxes. Sure would be nice if "everyone" got off their butts, get working, and do for yourself!

They cannot get any welfare because they are illegal. All of the claims that illegals take taxpayers dollars are actually false. It is very simple: they just can't get welfare, they are not getting taxpayers money from the health care, simply because the health care in America is not free everyone has to pay for it. Moreover, when you apply for medicaid and welfare you have to prove citizenship and you are a thoroughly screened.

why because i have two sister's that married illegal men . and i know their families and friends i can drive you down to where they buy their fake documents my son SS number is being used by a illegal the SS office told me . and i know for fact that they get food stamps and wic and other services

They have a Anchor baby that once born in this country they are illegible for benefits. Also a big practice is the buying of SS#'s.

Because that policy differs from state to state and in some states illegals can get aways with obtaining these benefits. But I believe our Welfare screening system is to blame for that!
