The gel by clinique helps with blackheads, but if you can't get that use rubbing alcohol to dry up the oil, a hot compress to draw the pus to the top, and if absolutely necessary to relieve the pressure, squeeze the pus out. 9 times out of 10 though it's better not to pop it. If you have to pop it, make sure you get all the white pus out. Don't use your fingernails, just apply pressure to both sides with your fingertips. Otherwise, don't touch it! The oil from your hands will make it worse!
Mud masks are awesome for drying up the excess oil on your face.
I've tried toothpaste before and it didn't work.

You will need to use one of those on-the-spot treatment gels or patches...So next time you are out and about check them out so next time you will have them on hand. In the mean time apply warm compresses to keep the swelling down. My derm told me that the toothpaste thing is a rumor. He says some have drying agents in them and so your zit my dry out and appear flatter but the toothpast doesnt cure it..and you shouldnt rely on your toothpaste as your zit creme. But hey...why not give it a try if you dont have anything else to use. Good luck!

Not toothpaste!!! I heard recently that is the worst thing to do. I will tell you if you use ProActiv or even a generic brand it will clear it up almost overnight! I love the stuff, I wash my face before bed with the regimen and the next morning it is noticibly better!!

You can't get rid of zits overnight, but you can cool it down. I used Garden of Eden Rosa T oil for acne. It help cool down my big acne tremendously in a night.
And my friend, she's using Ginvera Green Tea Spot Gel. It helps dry up pimples in 5 minutes time-or else it's money back guarantee. We both went and she try out on the spot. And it really works! But her's ain't acne, it's just pimples.

i wouldnt suggest using toothpaste. it may work or it may just dry your face up so bad that it is pretty much noticible. Try using natures cure...10$ a box and all you do is take a pill in the am and PM. toothpaste can strip your skin of its nutrients it needs and leave it dry and hurting. take my word girl...or guy...

if there is an open route to the pus, say a pore, then you can dry it out. try using oxy balance. the stuff works great. but it will dry out the area a lot, so be sure to use a moisturizer in the morning. i have used it several times to dry out zits overnight, and it almost always works in one to two nights

Clean it with peroxide and then put tooth paste on it.(Putting toothpaste is not the worst thing you can do,theres nothing wrong with it) I've tried that Proactive stuff and it made my acne worse. I actually use Murad acne treatment.
