I support our troops being there, these brave men and woman, show how tough and determined our soldiers are.

If I listened to certain people or certain politicians then I would probably not, but I listen to the soldiers, the ones that are there risking their lives to make a difference. Our soldiers got killed by a homocide bomber, what threat were they giving out candy and talking to kids. They are trying to build but it is hard when security is not there yet. They are trying to build roads and schools and such.

And the afghanss do want them there, not as taliban jack thinks.

If they soldiers say they are making a difference, and are willing to put their lives on the line, with that integrity why shouldn't we believe them.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS
Lest we forget.

I support them being there, because if not Afghanistan then where? I suppose there's Sudan; but if all the bad guys there need to do to send the Armed Forces home is dispatch a suicide bomber, there's not much point to sending them in the first place. If there is nothing worth fighting for, then Canada doesn't need a military in the first place.

I think all this talk about %90 of the expenditure going to combat is a red herring. The Armed Forces and CIDA have totally seperate budgets, so it's not as if development projects are being cancelled because of military spending. In any case, the US may very well devote more resources to Afghanistan now that the Dems control Congress so things could be looking up there.

Yes. This simple fact may have been forgotten by the majority of Canadians, but the war in Afghanistan is both justified and legal, unlike the Iraq war. The Afghan government had a clear and direct link to the Sept 11 plots, and as such, deserved to be thrown out of office. I therefore support the Cdn soldiers, though I wish they did more humanitarian stuff.

specific, as a Canadian protection rigidity kinfolk we help the attempt in Afghanistan and would help sending extra troops interior the destiny. My husband has been deployed to Afghanistan and is going lower back next Feb. maximum persons don't understand the constructive factors that have been made in Afghanistan already. they could do self sustaining study for information and suggestions. As a kinfolk we've made sacrafices for the reason in Afghanistan and to declare that we did that for the duration of ineffective is a stressful pill to swallow. My husband seems at it this way--whether one Afghanistan baby is helped to have a extra useful existence than the attempt replaced into well worth it.

As a U.S. citizen I thank the Canadian military for its efforts in Afghanistan and the Canadian government for allowing their military's participation.
I have the utmost respect for anyone who serves their country and is willing to lay down their lives for others.

I'm not Canadian (I'm American), but I support soldiers of any country who are in Afghanistan or Iraq fighting to make this world safer from terrorists.

Sure, I do!

Heck, they're fighting terror just like us. A lot of other countries are fighting along side us in Afganistan.

Just cause they're not American, they're held by the same standard of following lawful orders like the rest of us, so they deserve all the support they can get.

Yes we support them. Our hearts are especially with them this Remembrance Day. All of our losses have hit close to home here. It's pretty tough seeing them killed and hurt. They are highly trained and want to be there.
