Try the Perudua, the tiny 1 litre car which is very affordable for 1st timers.

Now, another new choice the the China made- QQ, check it, both showrooms at Ubi.

If you want a $40,000 weekend car at less than $200 per month you'll need to put down about $30,000. I think those Chevy Colbalts are nice for a young kid. You might be able to work out a payment low like you want too.

honda, or toyota is your best bet, easy maintance, I would know my husband has a shop, and I never see a toyota anymore. Toyota, and honda are cheap and easy on gas. Check on the car if it has oil leaks, burning gas smell, hard start, stained floor (flooded) tires worn out, belt wear might mean pulley problems, check the transmission by shifting the car from park to reverse and so on. get a mechanic to check the car out and see if the radiator is leaking, check if heat and ac work. oh big one, check to see if the headgasket is blown, it'll blow out a puff of smoke either blue if it is oil or white if it is head problem

i own a repair shop, and i think one of the best little cars on the market today is a Toyota corolla ,there cheap to operate and very reliable also, but if you drive one of them i think you,ll like they way they run ,and drive,i don't get a lot of them to repair because they really don't give a lot of trouble, and when they do its always a minor problem,do you might want to look at one of these when your out car hunting,i think you,d like the way they run and perform,,good luck i hope this help,s.

look around local dealerships. if you find the right price you can get anything as long as you can make the payments
