I just got a set of stainless steele pans and food is sticking to them. I'm using Crisco but I'm concern with the amount of fat and cholesterol.

Use a little cooking spray. Now we have that out of the way, strap on your apron and get ready to cook. First thing about SS pans, they need to be hot and you don't "move" the cooking product around, you need to let it release itself by what's called crusting. Once it crusts then you can move it freely untill you need to flip your contents. When you try and cook something that is "loose" or in pieces, you'll need to add an agent like oil to keep it from sticking, but it has to be hot. Clue, eggs really don't belong in a SS pan. Enjoy your cookware, you'll get the hang of them.

Extra virgin olive oil or canola oil spray. Those are the oils that are best for you. Drop the Crisco.

First choice is extra virgin olive oil and second is canola oil. They're hands down the best kinds of cooking oil for you.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil. You can now buy Olive Oil in a spray. Also, some places sell spritzers, you just add your own oil.
