Wow a bit of hostility here from my christain brothers and sisters in Christ. You would think I just asked permission to commit murder. It is a question! Not all people accept the old testment, because tey do not understand. New testment is easier to explain to a non believer, that's all folks.

Boy these christians don't read too well.
The reason he's asking you to give a reason without resorting to the bible is he wants to see if you actually have a brain that can form opinions based on sound logic and not just mouths that can parrot what you're told.
Is there a valid reason that makes homosexuality wrong in your eyes. Apart from the fact that it is forbidden in the bible, what reason is there that it should be viewed as wrong in the logical sense?

Basically they can't give you a good reason BESIDES what they see in the Bible... and THAT isn't even a good excuse to condemn homosexuals as sinners.
Most people, even priests and pastors, misinterpret the passages about homosexuality.
The story of Sodom and Gomorrah? That's an admonishment against rape and xenophobia. The reason for Sodom's destruction is made clear in Ezekiel 16:48-50. According to Ezekiel, the sins of Sodom were pride, laziness, being inhospitable, neglecting the needs of the poor, greed, and idolatry (the worshipping of idols). Nothing about homosexuality is mentioned.
Leviticus? Those passages were part of the Holiness Code which has been done away with and is no longer binding to modern-day Christians.
1 Corinthians? Mistranslation - the word malakee in this passage is used elsewhere in the Bible to mean someone who lacks discipline or one who is morally weak, and never is it used in reference to sexuality or gender.
1 Timothy? Also a mistranslation. 1 Timothy was an admonishment against male prostitution, not committed, loving same sex relationships.
Romans? In the passage the Greek words physin and paraphysin have been translated to mean natural and unnatural respectively. Contrary to popular belief, the word paraphysin does not mean "to go against the laws of nature", but rather implies action which is uncharacteristic for THAT particular person. An example of the word paraphysin is used in Romans 11:24, where God acts in an uncharacteristic (paraphysin) way to accept the Gentiles. When the scripture is understood correctly, it seems to imply that it would be unnatural for heterosexuals to live as homosexuals, and for homosexuals to live as heterosexuals.

If you don't want us to quote the sorce of our teachings then how do you expect us to answer your question? How about this..Romans chapter one, from verse 21 to 32. This is the New Testiment. If it was so right then why would it be such a controversal point to gays and straights? The gay people have to constantly be pointing out their " desires" to the rest of the world and trying to be recognized and even applauded for their choices. If it was so normal or right I would not think that they, the gays, would need so much attention. God does not create someone to be something that HE is going to turn HIS face away from. I think you will find that Islam has a much harsher way of dealing with this problem. It is not just Christians that find it reprehensible.

Why do you want to leave the old testament out of it? That is where the Laws are written. It is like asking someone to tell me why running a red light is illegal but don't use the law.
But then again, we are all sinners...the Messiah died for us anyway. Sin is sin...the word comes from an old archery term meaning "To miss the mark", only the Messiah "hit the mark". And only God knows our true heart and only He can judge us. So don't worry about what others think.

Romans 1 says that it is and tells of its consequences. 1Corinthians 6:9 says that it is, and it's also in the book of Revelation, verse 21:8. Sodom and Gomorroah also is mentioned in the new testament, more than once, as an example of a city destroyed for its sin.

GOING ALONG WITH WHAT IT SAYS IN THE BIBLE:
(but, not quoted, my words)
OK, God wants people to be fruitful and multiply. With two men, or two women, YA JUST CAN'T DO THAT. A man cannot get another man pregnant, and a woman cannot get another woman pregnant.

INGRAINED DOGMA BASED UPON A FLAWED BIBLE
They ignore Jesus' TWO commands
Love God
Love each other
They accept MAN'S word instead of GOD's.
