I think it is wonderful to talk to God like a close friend.
Jesus even called God "Abba" which means "Daddy" or "Papa."
With love in Christ.

Slang? I'm not sure what you mean. I talk to God just like I'd talk to another person, one I would trust with my deepest feelings. God looks at the heart of the person who is praying!

If you have ever seen the Da Ali G show, then you would see that God would most likely misinterpret my boy. Sad, but God can't be omniscient, otherwise he would have interveined. So there is no way he can speak Jive like June Cleaver can (a la "Airplane")

Yep. God speaks all languages including slang. If he can make His way through the platitudes of the fundementalists He can certainly do slang.

Absolutely. He doesn't ask that we come to Him speaking grammatically correct or dressed up in our Sunday best or anything. He just wants us to come to Him and talk with Him and have the desire to know Him and share our lives with Him. My grandmother loves to pray with all those "thee's" and "thou's" and "verily". I just talk to God like I would my earthly Father. He doesn't expect us to be someone were not. He wants to talk to the real you. However the real you talks.

Of course GOD will be able to understand you/anyone talking to him using any language. Seriously GOD can understand quite a lot.
Good question!

That depends. God hears sincere heartfelt prayers. But please don't insult him by being overly casual. Ask yourself; " Would I address a person who was interviewing me for a job in that way?" Don't you think that God deserves more respect than that?

Quite honestly, I believe that God can answer your prayers without you even knowing what you want to say and how you want to say it.

Yeah, He answers slang just the same. It doesn't matter what words you use, just what your heart is.

That's the great thing about God...he hears everything! He knows all! It's amazing. Pray to Him, and He will hear you.

Fo shizzle =p I'm sure he can understand what you are saying, and if he has a little difficulty understanding the lingo, I'm sure he feels what's in your heart
