Okay, let's see... I was 13 when I had my first "non-car" date - my mom drove us to the movies with some other kids. At 16, I had my first "car" date - he took me out to dinner. I was married at 21, and I'm still married 20+ years later (happily, thanks).
Should? Hmm. I think it worked out about right, for me - but it's a matter of how mature the parties are (some kids are old enough for a group date at 13, others you can't trust to be sensible until later). Marriage - well, I'd say teenagers are almost always not ready, but after 20, again, it depends on the couple - how mature, how committed, how ready to do what it takes to have a successful, lasting relationship.

I dated for the first time when I was 18 -- a little older than kids now. I probably should have started dating around 16 -17 (I was focusing on school at the time). I was 19 when I was first intimate. That was the right age for me as I was old enough to be sure if was someone I wanted to be with. I am still not-married but will be married when I am 36.

I started dating when I was 18, since I was more of a "friend" with the guys than truly interested in them. Years later I've had friends who were shocked to learn that I got married since most of them thought I was gay and were afraid to ask if I was. I wasn't bad looking in school, I just didn't have too many female friends.
My first intimate encounter was at age of 18, and I got married at 21.
I doubt that my life is a determination of what to do with yours. You can date, have sexual encounters, and get married at any age you choose. The consequences will always be there, some more severe than others given the circumstances. It's up to you what you want to do with your life.

I first dated when I was 13. The first time I had sex I was 17. And I'm not married yet, but, at 25, it wouldn't be a bad age. But I'm going to wait longer.
