its normal to feel awful about what you've done but you only did what was right to follow your heart , sometimes really you have to be cruel to be kind, you cannot force yourself to love a girl even if she is your bestfriend, you did the right thing, in time your bestfriend will understand that, you would be more selfish if you would not be true to what you feel
