If you have confessed that you are a sinner, which we all are, and have truly accepted Jesus as your savior, then the answer is no. We all fall short of the glory of God, and we needed a savior to get us to heaven. The bible states that Jesus died once for ALL sin....ALL means past, present, and future. Sin is sin and one sin does not make you deserve hell any more than another.....just as doing good does not make you deserve going to heaven. Only one thing can do that, and that is the covering of Jesus's blood....just as a bandaid covers a scrape on your knee....the scrape is still there, but you can't see it. We are all sinners, but once we ask Jesus to be our savior, and truly mean it, and really believe that Jesus's sacrifice is what saves us from hell, God no longer sees our sin because they are covered by Jesus's blood. We are made righteous in God's eyes by Jesus's sacrifice, we are made perfect and blameless, only perfection is allowed into heaven and this is the only way to achieve it. Now don't misunderstand, this does not give you the license to do as you please. If this is a habitual way of life and there are no guilty feelings, I would question whether or not you were truly saved even if you thought you had accepted Jesus. If you are saved, when you commit a sin, the Holy Spirit will prick your heart and you will feel remorse at some level.....if no guilt is ever felt, and this is a way of life without desire to change, then one should really take a long look at their heart........really saved or just hopeful?

do any of you people who follow these religions assess anything logically obviously not the concept of adultry has about as much religious significance as pork , in the time that religions were convieved there was various diseases that spread between human and animals due to unclean practices disease spread through pigs to humans so if man ate this animal he would die in the primitive mind this was because god did not want him to consume the animal , so forth those who slept with many partners had disease so in the primitive mind they were punished by God. This is why both religion outlaws adultry ( and eating pork) as it promotes a safer enviroment. With use of contraception it becomes irrelvant. The only spritual sin you can committ is to harm your body by infecting it with disease if you are unsafe, If you have promoised another person to be faithful this is not a sin of a spritual nature but doesn't really say much about you as a person, you shouldn't make promises you can't keep as it makes you look weak and immoral , God ( for sake of a better name) doesn't care if you have sex with 1 person or 5000 people during your life he is unaffected by the ideals of your free will. and hell doesn't exist unless you believe it does. There is nothing in this world either good or evil but thinking makes it so.

Is that person saved?
Jesus shed His blood on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Are you asking before or after the fact?
If you are contemplating this don't do it! Don't turn the grace of God into licentiousness ( a license to sin).
To him who knows the right thing to do and does not do it it is sin.
IF you are saved and it is after the fact and you have asked God and the person you committed adultery against (and with) to forgive you, you are not condemned to hell. Repent and like Jesus said "go and sin no more".

No. If you has asked forgiveness then God has forgiven you. The Bible says he remembers it (the sin) no more. The problem is we as humans have a hard time forgiving ourselves and we are the ones that don't forget about it. We beat ourselves up and keep asking God for forgiveness over sins He no longer sees. I wonder this: how does it make God feel when we put ourselves in a position ABOVE Him by not forgiving ourselves when He has already forgiven us? Are we better than God? Let it go. Go and sin no more.

No sin commited once one has repentaned (turned from sin to God) will condemn anyone to hell. Perpetual and stubborn continuance of sin will.
God is very merciful.
(I recommend not hanging out the other party of the adultry again though- that would be turning from sin)

Of course it does not. If you truly repent and don't commit adultery ever again then you are forgiven.
That does not mean you get off scot free. An adulterer comits a sin against his or her partner. His or her forgiveness is necessary as well.

if his confession of sin and repentence is genuine... then true forgiveness is possible....
The fact is, its not only adultery, any sin commited but once with a conscious disregard for "rules" will in fact "stain" a person's soul being.
Whether we are truly repentent, only we know and God knows, no matter how we veil our sins, only we know if we are truly repentent. Just mouthing the plea of forgiveness, is just theatrics.

No of course not. Remember Jesus saved that woman who was caught in adultery from being stoned to death. If we confess our sins, God forgives us. People go to hell for rejecting Jesus as their savior, not for sinning. When we sin, we have an advocate in Jesus. This isn't license to sin, of course. We don't want to presume on God's grace. But He hears our repentent prayer, and immediately forgives us.

Yes. In 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Apostle Paul offers a list of sins that will keep a person out of Heaven. Among them is adultery.

I wouldn't think so as long as it wasn't just a way to feel better about it and do it all the time. But if it was only once I think God would forgive you
