There are a lot of women who are illegal prostitutes now. Some are drug addicts or are being exploited because they don't feel like they have a choice. I bet there are lots more prostitutes than normal people think.
If prostitution were legal, I'd assume there would be a regulatory service overseeing it. There would have to be pay scales, licenses, medical checks.
I'm betting numbers wouldn't change much overall. If women could make a great deal of money as legal prostitutes, perhaps many who wouldn't have gone the illegal route would decide to get licensed. If prostitution were legal and women had medical checks to make sure they were disease-free, probably men would go to them instead of the illegals and there would be less of a market for those forced into it.
Personally I wouldn't become a prostitute, even if I thought I could make $2000 a week. Some things (lots of things, actually) aren't worth the money. Perhaps my outlook would be different if I were in desperate need of money, which I am not.

Prostitution is legal in parts of Nevada, and I understand it is strictly regulated and the women are not only very safe, but quite wealthy.

I would never do something like that to my body sell it for money that is why jobs are out there. I know it is hard to find a job but still prostitution is just plain nasty. I would not be setting a good example for my daughter. I would not put my self in a position to catch HIV/aids and i believe that your body is your temple and letting the devil in to do what he want is just saying kill me know and take my soul.I love my body and my life and i would never in a million years think about doing something like that!!!

No I would not become a prostitute because I respect my body and I respect myself. Not to mention I think sex with a male is disgusting... And men who seek out prostitutes are doubly disgusting.

in some places it is legal. And, even if it was legal all over i dont think i could do it, i mean to sleep with so many different guys, that would be pretty sick.. no amount of money is worth getting an STD or AIDS

I WON'T!!! Why would I risk being one, I don't want to have the ilnesses that is brought with being a prostitute... I also don't want to put my name in shame. So, it's good to make prostitution illegal... It is also agianst the 10 Commandments of God...!!!

and they would get rights and priveledges

No. I would never treat my body with a lack of respect and want to be a whore. No amount of money is worth being treated poorly. It shows you do not respect yourself. Would you demean yourself and be one? Why ask such a question?
