i need a recipe how to cook tandoori chicken or a really nice chicken curry but with out apple or sultanans

Tandori Chicken

4 Boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons Lemon juice
1 tablespoon Olive oil
2 teaspoons Turmeric
2 teaspoons Paprika
2 teaspoons Fresh gingerroot, finely chopped
2 Garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Curry powder
1 teaspoon Ground cardamom
1/2 teaspoon Chili powder
3/4 cup Low-fat yogurt

Preparation


1. Make 3-4 deep diagonal cuts in each chicken breast.

2. Sprinkle with lemon juice.

3. Combine next 9 ingredients in a bowl; then mix in the yogurt.

4. Coat chicken well with the tandoori marinade.

5. Place in a bowl, cover, and chill for at least 4 hours or over night.

6. Place chicken on a preheated grill; brush with extra marinade.

7. Grill, turning frequently, until chicken is tender and juice runs clear (12-14 minutes).

8. Remove, cover with foil, and continue cooking until the chicken is crisp and slightly blackened (5-10 minutes).
or oven at 350 F 20 - 30 min

hi ...i am a good cook of chicken curry...thats what my wife keeps telling me....well here is how i do chichken curry
1 kg chicken cut into pieces
wash and clean
put a dish on stove
chop 3 onions into small bits
add oil into dish and let the oil get heated up
add chopped onions
and wait for the onions to get a tinge of brown color
add half teaspoon of safforon powder
stirr
put chicken in dish
stirr
add 150gms ginger garlic paste, and salt
put a lid and wait for the chicken to cook
after 5-10 min
open the lid
add chilli powder
add one and half glass of water
and again close the lid and wait for 20 min
after the chicken is boiled/cooked
add some coriender leaves and spices
and put the stove in sim for 5 min until chicken is well cooked with out any remains of water...
if u want greavy curry then u r chicken is ready to be eaten

Hi a really nice chicken curry is the ones from a jar, and all you need to do is buy chicken , rice and the jar of curry, you can buy expensive jars of curry about 4.00 or so and they taste just like out of a restaurant. Hope this helps.

CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA Category: Poultry
Prep Time- 500 Minutes Description- Straight from India
Serves 2
250 gms Curd
5 tsp Garam Masala powder*
10 tbs Mustard Oil*
125 gms Ginger / garlic paste*
10 tsp Red chilly paste*
5 tsp Cumin powder
5 tsp Coriander powder
5 tsp Black salt*
1,000 gms Cooked chicken tikka cubes
200 gms Chopped Onion
200 gms White Butter
50 gms Ginger Paste
50 gms Garlic Paste
10 gms Cumin Powder
10 gms Red Chili Paste*
10 gms Coriander powder
10 gms Garam masala*
100 ml Tomato ketchup*
200 ml Tomato puree*
50 gms Cashewnut paste*
100 ml Fresh cream
5 gms dry fenugreek leaves*
Nutritional Data
Vegetarian- No

Instructions:
1.Marinate the chicken cubes in the in the mixture of the above ingredients up to and including the black salt, for at least for 6 to 8 hours (Important).
Add Salt to taste

2.Grill this chicken cubes on skewers over a charcoal grill(must) in India we use tandoori oven for grilling.
it gives the smoke flavour.

3. the chicken cubes must me not fully cooked, should be juicy.


Chicken Tikka Masala
1. Sauté the onion in the white butter till it become light golden brown.

2. then add all the dry powder and mix it well ,add ginger garlic paste cook it for some time.

3. Add chili paste mix it thoroughly, then cashewnut paste , tomato puree and tomato ketchup. Cook over a small fire and keep stirring till it become a solid consistency.

4.Add chicken tikka cubes mix it well .then add garam masala powder and salt. Let it cook for some time ,keep stirring to avoid sticking at the bottom but gently.
5. Finally finish it with cream before removing from fire just add the crushed fenugreek leaves.
this is one of my favourite dishes the ones I have put the stars beside are things you can change for something else or in some cases not have to use them at all.good luck

start w/browning chicken in olive oil and butter mixture
bout 1/4 cup oil and 1/2 stick butter, but preheat pan
once browned, add about 2 tbls curry and 8 ozs of plain yogurt
salt and pepper to taste
cook covered over med heat for about 30 to 40 minutes
serve over rice and garnish w/fresh greens(like majoram,tyme or parsley chopped) yummy

Preperation Time 30 minutes

Chicken

Ingredients
1 (800 gms) of chicken
1 tspn of kashmiri red chilli powder
1 tblspn of lemon juice
Salt to taste

For Marination
200 gms of yogurt
1 tspn of kashmiri red chilli powder
Salt to taste
2 tblspns of ginger paste
2 tblspns of garlic paste
2 tblspns of lemon juice
½ tspn of garam masala powder
2 tblspns of mustard oil

For basting of butter
½ tspn of chaat masala

For garnishing
Onion rings and lemon wedges

Recipe
Skin, wash and clean the chicken. Make incisions with a sharp knife on breast and leg pieces.

Apply a mixture of kashmiri red chilli powder, lemon juice and salt to the chicken and keep it aside for half an hour.

Remove whey of yogurt by hanging it in a muslin cloth for fifteen to twenty minutes. Mix Kashmiri red chilli powder, salt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, garam masala powder and mustard oil to the yogurt.

Apply this marinade onto the chicken pieces and refrigerate for three to four hours.

Put the chicken onto the skewers and cook in a moderately hot tandoor or a pre-heated oven (200 degrees Celsius) for ten to twelve minutes or until almost done. Baste it with butter and cook for another four minutes.

Sprinkle chaat masala powder and serve with four onion rings and lemon wedges.

Whenever I need a recipe I go to food.com. Its the food network website. I have always found multiple recipes and many have been quite useful in my kitchen experiments.

Put the chicken into the tandoori oven.
When done, take it out & serve.
Duh!

If you don't want apples or sultanas in you food, don't put them into it.
Duh!

(Am I missing something here?)
