the element ought to be superb, maximum modern-day autos have rev limiters that isn't enable the engine to realize a velocity at which factors would be broken. whether it does not have one, 6-7 seconds or purple-lining it won't do something severe to it. except some thing replaced into already heavily incorrect, no longer something occurred - you're superb.

check the pedal and see if it moving correctly, you might have a fuel problem and your gas line are stocked up like a artery, I would get a fuel injection service and check the lines. Gas might be fighting to exist, check the tranny also

Another definate possibility on this is your timing is retarded a little too far....check it and / or advance it a hair. If your timing is not advanced far enough it will cause a lot of hesitation as you first press the accelerator. Alot of miles on this vehicle ? timing chain is prob a little loose....advancing the timeing should correct this.

fords do not turn on check engine light for most problems. auto zone can retrieve codes, or buy haynes manual and d.i.y..for symptoms stated, you will probably get a T.P.S. code. manual will show how to check it.
