Well, I am not a teenager but I did meet my second husband online. He lived in Texas and I lived in Michigan. We had started out just as friends and after 3 yrs of corresponding and talking on the phone we decided to get married. He passed away 9 months after we were married because of a bad doctor. I met my current boyfriend on a dating service site. He had been living downstate and I lived in northern michigan. After a while of corresponding and phone calls we had decided it was time to move in with each other. We have been together for 4 yrs. He is an over the road truck driver and is only home every couple weeks for a day or two. I guess you could say we have a long distance relationship. We are hoping he finds a local job soon because even though we love each other very much it is hard being apart. Long distance relationships are not easy for anyone especially when you are a teenager. You want to see that person and be with them but when you have miles between you it takes a lot of trust and honesty on both of those involved in a relationship. If you feel that you can stand to be apart from someone you care about without seeing them or knowing what they are doing other than what they are telling you then I say give it a try. Be prepared to get your heart broke if it doesn't work out for you.
Good Luck.

I have experience in long distance relationship. For most people it does not work out. I will never have long distance relationship ever again. It is up to you and the person. We met in person but we lived far. Found out he cheated on me and it doesnt work out cuz you dont see each other as you would like to

We met in person, tried a long distance relationship. Well, it didn't work out. Too many wondering eyes. It's not something I suggest. You're constantly longing to be with them and you hardly ever can. You're always filled with doubt and want. It ended about two months after it began. Avoid if possible. If not, the best of luck to you.

long distance relationships are OK too ! I have a longdistance relationship and so far everything is cool !My Bf is overseas and won't be back for way some time ! Sometimes it depends on the two people ! if you do love each other it should work . but for a lot of people it does not do so well .

I had two long distance relationships. I should've learnt my lesson after the first one, but I didn't so I ended up getting hurt twice.
The first one lasted 1 year and 3 months but we argued a lot due to my insecurity and paranoia. It ended because he cheated on me.
The second one lasted 3 months! I guess after about the first month we got tired of each other since I never got to saw him and he barely called.
I believe long distance relationships can work out but the require a lot more patience and work.
:)

the poblem is when you're in a long distance relationship... you hardly feel any closeness to each other. it's like saying "we belong but we really don't..." i've been in 3 long distance relationships and none of them worked out right... in my relationship now... we see each other regularly and you can see the difference in tems of closeness... and your love is deeper. after those 3 long distance relationships i realized... why the hell am i doing this?? ain't none of the guys in the neighborhood good enough for me that i have to settle for a guy that's 5 miles away??!! i mean it felt stupid... so before getting in a long distance relationship... look around first. love is based in trust and you can't trust someone you barely know... he may seem like nice coz you barely see him... but it might not be true

Teenagers can't have long distance relationships, they are going to have sex with anyone they can whenever they can.
A long distance relationship for teens works as well as pants on a pig!

If it's someone you knew before, then you could meet in person. If they're someone you met randomly over the internet, I wouldn't. Internet appearances can be very decieving.
If the person is very far, you just talk to them through "snail mail" or on the phone or over the internet. If they could be visited on a regular basis, then there's no reason not to visit with them.
