as a guilty party, i can answer that.
we trust you guys. you stand up for us and care for us and listen to us better than we're used to - other girls don't do that. you dance with us when we don't have a partner, give us advice and a shoulder to cry on. why wouldn't we love you? you're the one that's always there. some girls never fall into this trap, but it can be hard not to, especially if she's going through tough times with other friends.
still, you can't just cut her out for loving you. talk more about your personal life and her romantic life. that is, talk about your girlfriends/interests and who else she should like. set her up with a friend of yours you trust not to hurt her. believe me, it works.

I strongly believe that a guy and a girl could never ever be best friends b/c atleast once in their life time they would have feelings for each other....A girl thinks that her bestfriend (am talking about a guy being the best friend)understands her more than anyone and they are open with each other whenever the girl is down the best friend is always there to support her and cheer her up...end of story A guy and a girl could never be best friends....I have a cousin who is getting married now...She and this guy has been best friends over past 4 years and the guy has feelings for her from back then but she stayed as friends and now recently they started having feelings for each other n they are getting married...

Because you know us so well. We confide in you and you are there always. We can get a males point of view on any dating situation. Your up front with us on what we are doing wrong. Your not likely to steal our man from us. Basically no matter what you guys are there for us and never lie to us.. And that's good you let your best friend know that you just love her as a best friend. She maybe hurt about it..But it's better now then later down the line etc.,etc.,etc....

because with a best friend, the friend seems like they'll always be there, and they show they care, so they think it would be a stable relationship. and if you're friends you already share the same intrests and know about each other. So the girl trips for em and the guy usually just isn't intrested.

Because the best person to love is your best friend. Of course, when you are young you have lots of close friends and singling one out as the best one when you are a teen is tough.

Happening to me me! They feel open to you, and get scared of other ppl in so they wont get hurt, so they make the decision that the just wanna be with you. Keep in mind all of these decisions are made without u knowing at first!

I believe they fall in love with their male buddies because they either have more in common with them then they thought.Or they know to much about that person and would rather be with him then to see him get hurt by another woman.

when u close to someone, you'll spend more time with that person, so the opportunity to stay close n share stories will be more likely making you two to have memories which can bring u closer and like each other.

because the one thing a girl wants from a guy is that companionship. that guy that can not only be a friend but a lover. your friendship is the perfect companionship and that is why she loves you as more than a friend.
