ok here's what happened. My friend kayla went out with this guy Jacob, she broke up with him after like a week, and then started liking his best friend anthony. he starts liking me (or so I thougt) and asks me out I say yes (even tho I never really liked him) he tells my friend kayla that the only reason he went out with me is to get back out at her for liking his best friend anthony. kayla has no sympathy for me whatsoever, and keeps talking about these guys thomas and anthony that she likes. she hasn't really asked me if i was okay or anything like that even tho, this guy jacob just used me and made me look stupid just for her. she has been acting so selfish about the whole thing and hasn't really cared about me at all. is she a true friend? what should I do???

Definitely not a true friend.

But. You both have a lot going on right now. I think you two should just have some fun 'girls night' or something and forget about these boys.

Stick with your friends, it's silly when girls fight over boys.

A true friend is always there for you, no matter what, but your "friend" kayla doesn't seem to fit this description, she is only thinking of herself, she is definitely not your true friend. And you have every right to be upset, because even though you never really liked jacob, it's the fact that you were used and also humililated in the process, it has nothing to do with him, you were used and thats one of the most horrible experiences someone encounter in their life, but also saying this, revenge is not the answer, some people may tell to get back at him or do something that will humiliate him, as much as you may feel like doing this, it is not the answer. The problem here starts and finishes with Kayla. If she doesn't feel what your going through, if she doesn't empathise with you and if she doesn't support you and try to help you then there is no possible way she could be a true friend. But before any sudden conclusions are made, please talk openly to her first, see what she has to say about the whole thing, some people don't know how to express how they are really feeling, and also may feel awkward in situations such as this, so talking to her openly and honestly may help a lot in this particular situation. =)

i'm sorry to say this but no she isn't a true
friend b/c true friends stick up for and with each
other they don't just dump you for a guy
i would suggest you to find a real true friend
that knows how much you are worth and also
knows how to care for you and respect you

I dont think you should be upset if you never really liked the guy anyway, and maybe you should try growing up and getting over it.
