The following will be minimum requirements. Of course you will see that the room is dark with curtqains all around and also a red zero watt bulb for your vision in the room. otherwise, a film developing area, printing area can have booth enlarging bays with a central sink and a pass-through slot in the wall to the post-printing area or dry area. The choice of equipment will depend on budget and size requirements. If you will be shooting 4x5 and making 16x20 (or larger) prints, you'll need the appropriate sized processing sink and trays, printing gear, and work spaces.
When digital photography is employed the following can also be borne in mind. Just like in darkroom photography, much of the digital magic lies in having the skill to process and print the image. A good home computer, photo quality inkjet printer and editing software will allow you to print quality photographs. But there's a big difference between snapshots produced by fully automated imaging software and what's possible with a little creative control and skill using Adobe Photoshop & similar programs.

Well a dark room use aluminum foil or thick poster board over any windows hang a dark cloth over the door ( make sure it blocks all the light ) about six two inch deep trays big enough for you largest pic. a red lamp. Enlarger, tongs , Chemicals, Paper A four foot long table ( at least)
And that is about it. Have fun I had a darkroom when I was young and did B&W works.!

Unless you have a nice basement, you can use the bathroom by making sure that no light enters beneath the door or through the window... here's a site that's full of great ideas for you to consider:

In any place you plan to build it, just be sure no light leaks in.

When you think it is dark, just turn all lights off, wait inside it 10 minutes, this is the time for your brain to adjust to darkness, if you see your hand, it is not dark enough; some adjustments have to be made.

the fim has no brain, so it will detect the light in the first second.
