As to you www.....NOBODY wants to know "about" you. How's that for an absolute nonsense statement? I mean--good grief, it's always possible that someone out there does? I'm never disappointed when I pick up on stupid ambiguous questions. You didn't fool anybody. Ho ho. Seriously, however, I don't want anybody to throw ME in your rotten garbage pail. Like "jnurse02" said: "Atheists have no rules against judging others." That is also an absolute statement, & certainly not true. Sometimes I think I defend the rights (& respect) of Christians more than they do themselves. If you had the mentality of a brain dead newt, I'd suggest you read the wonderful answer of "frozenfir" --"To argue that nothing exists which cannot be proved scientifically would eliminate almost everything we value in life." But YOU would never comprehend that, any more than what I'm saying. You are a nasty, rabble rouser, & I think you should be reported for the specific rules in the guidelines. Perhaps my IQ isn't so great, either, or I'd have ignored you--yet--you do give Atheists a BAD name to those who throw us into your mean spirited category. I resent THAT. Angry, ignorant person. "That's all to it." Great grammar, too. I hope you got enough "attention" to your little ego for awhile--we don't WANT YOU AROUND.

*** Couldn't resist when I looked again at the answers. I LOVE Leroy Johnson! He dealt with you far better than I--

Dear Liar!

You could not possibly convince anyone that you believe that God does not exist. Look at your vehement question. There are many Athiest on Y/A and you are not one. If you were, you would not even post the question.

Using your logic, why would you post a question about something non-existent.

You did not post a question about the toothe fairy, Easter bunny, Santa Claus, shall I go on.

You are just in denial and want so desperately not to believe.

Well, guess what, God believes in you, and when you are ready to repent, THat is to turn from your denial, He is there with arms wide open for you.

I do not believe in god, but the reasoning here is a bit flawed, despite the fact that it is a common argument against god's existence. I have never seen a whale, and yet they exist. I could challenge the existence of whales by saying to myself, "If there is a whale, let this whale show itself to me!" If I sit here at my desk, I will still never see a whale. I could even actively go looking for a whale, and yet spend my entire life never finding one due to any number of reasons. I could die concluding that there are no whales because they have never shown themselves to me. I would be wrong.

Perhaps you would argue that god should be different than a whale, but why? What reason would an all powerful, all knowing being that controls everything have to bother with you, one mere mortal? Believing that god does not exist because he has not made a personal appointment with you is as much a belief based on your own sense of personal importance as assuming that god does exist and will act as a cosmic caretaker and father figure on your behalf.

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. -Romans 1:18

Do you have positive proof God doesnt exist or is that just your belief? Because we have proof he does exist! God has revealed himself many times to people and yet you wont listen to the testimony!!! If you disown God in your heart, do you honestly think a miracle is going to change your heart? Miracles will for sure change your mind, just not your heart, which is unfortunately your problem.

Science deals with the measurable, religion deals with the immeasurable," suggested author William Rees-Mogg. He said: "Science can neither prove nor disprove the existence of God, any more than it can prove or disprove any moral or aesthetic proposition. There is no scientific reason to love one's neighbour or to respect human life . . . To argue that nothing exists which cannot be proved scientifically is the crudest of errors, which would eliminate almost everything we value in life, not only God or the human spirit, but love and poetry and music."

You think He's invisible just because you haven't seen him? So if you are out of town when your wife gives birth and she leaves you and you never find them would that make your child invisible too because you've never seen him?

Are you truly so proud that you think God should reveal Himself to you alone? Why should the rest of us be required to have faith but not you?

The Bible says God is no respecter of persons. Who are you to be so proud as to demand God down from the heavens?

I can promise you this, when you stand before Him in judgment when you die God will have your FULL attention as you are kneeling in front of Him proclaiming Him King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The sad part of that is it will be too late for you.

I pray you find Him before it's too late.

Well I don't believe in oxygen or gravity b/c I can't see it "physically":) To answer your question, it is not wrong not to believe in God, if that is what you believe, but I do have a problem with you disrespecting the Christian faith. I guess Atheists have no rules against judging others.

When you look at a watch how do you know there was a watchmaker? .....Because of the watch.

When you look at a painting how do you know there was a painter? ......Because of the painting.

When you look at a building how do you know there was a builder? .....Because of the building.

You cant see, smell, touch, taste or hear the watch maker, painter, or the builder. But their creations are proof of the creator.

When you look at a creation how do you know there was a creator. The creation is proof of the creator.

Look at your magnificantly complex eye in the mirror and ask with an honest conscience how do I know there was an eye maker. Jesus said the one who knows His commands and obeys them is the one who loves Him. He also said the one who loves Him, He will reveal Himself to. Next time you ask yourself why God hasnt revealed Himself to you, remember what He said about obeying what He has already said to do.

Though I'm not someone who believes in a diety, neither do I find it necessary to bate believers.

I prefer that my beliefs (or lack thereof) are respected. As such, I respect thier beliefs and the right to hold them. I may disagree with the factual nature of those beliefs, but bating or making fun of them is stooping to the level of those who attack our lack of belief.

While there are those who don't respect my lack of belief, to get revenge on all believers is no better than any other form of prejudice.

Why would you expect something you don't believe in to respect you and then be mad at that something?

Maybe God has appeared to you many times and your mind is so closed you just haven't noticed?

You have to meet Him in the middle. You search Him out. He already knows you're there.
