kids tend to do that....they get comfort from one parent and enjoy the company from the other.....the only thing you can do is love them unconditionally...and the parent that is out of the loop at the moment should make extra effort to doing fun things them....believe me it turns around the next thing they will be the flavour of the month and you will be left in the dark...and then visa versa..lol......

Nothing - at this stage it is normal for a child to prefer one parent over another. In a short while, the preference will probably change to the other parent!

This is normal!! The other parent should give the child special attention (going to the park, the movies etc.) just the two of them. This will help.

It's normal.
Just try to provide time with both parents.
After a while, the kid will most likely switch and prefer the other parent for a while.

Every child on the planet feels that way.

Be concerned if the child wants NOTHING to do (or shows fear) around the other parent.

just relax!! try and have quality time with the child and enjoy your child. remember, nobody in the whole world can replace you. you are that child's father/mother and no one can change that. kids have their phases but u shud try to have fun with each one of them.

The child is learning to identify with gender and what their relationship is to it. It's nothing personal...believe me, hold a piece of chocolate out and guess who baby loves more now! Hahaha!
