That is the cutest question I've ever seen! I HAD to pull it up! I can't answer because I haven't a clue, but it led me to lots of laughs--like--do they go on hormone therapy? Get emotional? If not spayed, (heaven forbid!) do they take a big sigh of relief? Also gave me a laugh at the pronunciation--meno-PAWS. Hope someone is more serious than I, & can give you a good answer. I just don't know. But thanks for the fun!

I know of a friends cat who was 16 years old and still going into "heat" at least 2 times a year. So my guess is they are capable of producing offspring right up to death. But any responsible pet owner would have their animal spayed before it had a chance to even go into heat, it really does prolong their lives, especially along with keeping them in the house, less chance of kittens and illnesses.

They will continue to have kittens until you spay them. And believe me, spaying costs a lot less in the long run than feeding all those hungry little mouths! Not to mention it will be easier on the momma cat.
