cut your sandwich do you cut it down the middle or diagonally?

I cut diagonally - unless I'm cutting it for my kids. Then it's either in "baby triangles" (diagonally twice), or "adult triangles" (diagonally once)....or.....with a cookie cutter. Ah - the life of a mom.

Either way is very appropriate, however if you are making a sandwich snack dish most people cut the sandwich diagonal. This is mainly because it gives the sandwich a more creative look, especially for company.

Diagonally, I don't know why but the portions always seem to look bigger to me when I cut it that way.
