You should see a vet.Internall bleeding id black runny stool.that would indactte maybe a gi bleed internal bleeding.i'm going for the same thing an we are looking at cancer.my dog has been sick also with pale gums an tounge also his white cell count is high an red cell count is very low. don't take chances

Dogs have a little sac of glands on each side of their anus that can become infected and rupture, causing bleeding. You need to determine if the blood is coming from there, or if he has bloody diarrhea. If his stool is normal, it's probably an infected anal sac. See your vet tomorrow.
