There are certainly many type of exercises out there to lose weight. But for me, I prefer a type of exercise that I can practice regularly in the LONG RUN. For that reason, I would recommend brisk walking. This exercise can be done easily, anytime & anywhere we like, even if we have no company and cost nothing. For me, I have been practicing the regular brisk walking in the morning & evening since February this year, and I have lost total of 10kg (after 5 months), now I’m still maintain my weight. I started by doing it for 15 minute each time, and increasing the time slowly. Sometime I can do up to one hour, but 30 minutes to 45 minutes should be good enough. Always listen to your body, stop whenever you body tells you so.
The best is that, I’m not only reduced my weight, but I also look good & healthy. It’s worth practicing in the long run. Beside exercise, a good diet is recommended too. All these cannot be done without a commitment, discipline & persistency. Good luck!

You must eat right as well. Remember: carbs before 2pm and protein after 2pm. And, don't eat four hours before going to bed. Exercises depend on your body style, weight, age and time alloted. Try simply doing just a few (and I mean only a few) push-ups each day adding just one each day...also do this with crunches/sit-ups. Get a large ball (you've seen them everywhere) and use it to do sit-ups, there are videos that come with some balls that will help you. It also makes it much easier on your back when utilizing the ball. Anyhow, do these in the morning because your muscle will use energy to burn fat throughout the day. After work and at least two hours before sleep take a 40 minute walk....we start burning fat approximately 20 minutes into a workout so you'll have 20 minutes of burn time per day which allows at least one pound per week not including your other workouts. Eat only small meals (five) throughout the day so to shrink your stomach and help you feel fuller as well. good luck.

Top exercise for weight loss
There is no doubt that you can lose weight without exercise. But with exercising you can speed up the process of weight loss. Exercise mainly help you lose weight in the following ways:
* Burn more calories while exercising
* If you exercise for longer hours, you will be able to burn calories at an high rate for an extended period after you have completed your weight loss session.
* If the exercise places a high enough load on your muscles, they will increase in size, and burn more Calories even when your body is at rest.
This method is an important aspect of weight loss as it makes you to burn more calories at all tiles. Muscle tissue is more "metabolically active" than body fat. With more muscle and less fat, your metabolic rate is naturally higher.
Muscular variation occurs most readily when the load placed on a muscle exceeds about 60% of its maximum contractile strength. This makes weight training one of your best exercise choices, and the most direct path to a sleeker, shapelier body.

weightlifting, because just losing weight is not good if you donot trim and build up your muscles. Eating healthy is also helps. But before you go on any dieting program you should talk it over with your doctor
