Consider the following important naming tips:
- Make a short-list of preferred names.
- Keep it simple, as possible.
- A couple of syllable names are best.
- Try to choose a name that is easily recognized.
- Is the name easy to call out?
- Base the name on how your pet acts!
- Names shouldn't sound like standard instructionsË (eg. Sit, stay ..etc.)
- Try it out. When you find a name you like, give it a test run for a few day.
- If it feels natural, keep it! Otherwise, try the next name on your list.
- If your darling is adopted, try and keep the name your pet already owns.

How about "Fergie". It sounds cute, his "christian name" can be be Ferguson (or Sir Ferguson, or Ferguson Esquire [a lawyer?], or Ferguson the third (for of being rediculous and funny)... and it has that "eeee" ending like "honey" did. It's a boy's name too. It doens't end in an "Oh" sound like "bruno" for instance would (don't want to scare the cat when you say his name because he might think you're saying "NO!" like he did something bad).
I hate it when people name their cats based on what their cats look like. What is with that? A calico cat named Callie? Come ON!!!! Couldn't think of anything personal? A cat with white feet named boots or socks? *shakes head* this is your cat!!! make his name special! Please don't name him "tiger" or "boots" or "socks" or some played out name like Fluffy. Good luck.
****edit***
and maybe his "muslim name" could be Meowhammud.

You have to go by his personality,I had a crazy black cat that was just nuts,so I called him tweak.Another who got into my pantry & ate all my oat meal ,so I call him oatis.Finnally I have one that looks like one of those gremilins from that 80s movie .Call him gizmo.Just don't be in a rush ,wait a minute and see how he acts then name accordingly. It will come to you .Good luck.
