1. It's obvious most of it is scripted
2. Even though it's always the parents fault, they suck at parenting!

Children start life perfect.

If you ever see a misbehaved child it is ALWAYS the parent's doing. It's only glaringly obvious because it is on TV. Most parents stink at their job. If they didn't there would be a lot more GREAT adults out there, because they were great kids, because they had great parents.

Seriously, you would be surprised how many parents really do have these problems with their children. In a world where mom has to work and has no time or energy to come up with the problem solvers that an outside observer can. And Reality sells. It's really not scripted! It may look like a no brainer to an out sider looking in, but to parents who are doing they're best to take care of all the neccesity's of life, and deal with children and all the different needs and personality's and are in the middle of the Mayhem -so to speak. They really do appreciate the help of someone who can give them advice. Nanny or other wise! After all - Children don't come with any directions. And each family unit has their own personal hurdles to jump from time to time!!

Come on there is no way that stuff is scripted because you cannot get children to act like that unless they really are that way. I don't think they children should be taken away because some people just need a little guidance on how to raise children. it appears that most of the time after the nanny leaves the parents have learned effective ways to chastise the children and how to handle the children when they get a little out of hand.

I've only watched it a few times. I never thought or noticed it was scripted.

While it is the parent's fault--pointing that out does not resolve a problem. The point of having a person come into a home is not to point blame but to resolve and be pro-active in helping the parents and children to be the best they can be.

If you don't like the show then don't watch it. I'm sure a few people have gotten a thing or two out of just watching it.

No parent is perfect. I give these parents kudos for ASKING for help - lots of parents don't even ask for help and their kids suffer because of it.

Are you a prefect parent? Everyone makes mistakes and assuming it isn't scipted ( after all if it is what is your problem with it? ) then I think it is a good thing that they realize that they need help.
