Abandon religion so that gays do whatever they want....I don't think so

That's the problem with this world...If you say there's no God you think you have no moral code to go by...

Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders

Elton John is the one being judgemental and atheistic

I think it's really interesting that Elton John finds any answer to the problems of gays in banning the cultures of people who, if anything, are as ambivalent about homosexuality as the general populace. He doesn't understand this because he's desperate to stereotype them in exactly the same way that he protests being stereotyped himself. If he's trying to argue that gays are better suited to establish what's best for everybody, I'm afraid he missed the mark by a long shot. It's one of the most intolerant and ignorant statements that I've heard in a long time.

Hey there, hot shot, apparently you were trying to read without your glasses. Elton said "We are all God's people; we have to learn to get along and the religious leaders have to lead the way." Elton very much believes in God. There is a huge difference between religion and spirituality, and I happen to believe he's right about religion promoting hate. Maybe not at every level everywhere, but in a world wide sense. I've said it many times and I'll say it again...God is not capable of prejudice, hate, jealousy and anger, these are human traits, and religion is man made. Open your eyes and read the entire article before you rush to judgment.

Wow, you're ignorant.

Personally, I'll trust the moral code of an atheist over a religious person any day - they had to actually think about what is right and what is wrong, as opposed to having some 2000-year-old book tell them. Note how atheists are always ahead of the times in accepting different races, colors, genders, and lifestyles.

I am thankful to my God that He will be the judge of me and my family and not man. If I knew I were to be judged by some of the Christians on here and the ones I have met in my life I'd be done and have nothing to try to live right for because none is perfect not one of us, only Jesus was and only one judge is going to be judging and Jesus will be there interceding for me, thank God because the Chrisitians would burn us all at the stake because no one is perfect and the 10 commandments says to not judge...yet, they do all the time. Sin is sin and if you sin by judging and someone else by lying then what is the difference? Give ma a break. Get it right and get perfect before God and worry about your own sin before you worry about Elton Johns sins. Please. He's a human being that God made just yu and I are and God will judge him, not you.

I agree with you on that and as a christian I strongly disagree with the abandon religion so that gays do whatever they want. In the bible that lifestyle is an abomination because in Leviticus 18:22 "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination".

Well I don't like the fact that he's an admitted homosexual, but Elton John's sex life is of no concern or interest to me. He is neither my teacher nor leader, nor is he over me in any way.

But he's a great singer, and I'll listen to his songs and enjoy them every single time!

It's mostly bigotry and fear that's making people against homosexuals; NOT what the Bible says.

Jesus says the opposite of what the churches and what so called Christians are doing.

Might as well ban the alcoholics, the druggies, the pregnant teens, the adulterers also.

How about trying this put urself in his shoes and see how u would feel. Also u got to remember how many time people have used religions as an excuse to condemn something out of fear and ignorance. I don't agree we should ban religion I think we should ban close-minded bigots no matter what their beliefs are.

Hmmm, who can honestly believe that an omniscient omnipotent God would EVER have to kill. That's just what God did as written in the bible... Elton John feels happy when he entertains people... Who is worse. An ultimate being that does horrible murderous things or one that brings joy to people.
