The parades are famously held in New Orleans but Mardi Gras is celebrated just about everywhere in Louisiana.

If you want to see a REAL Mardi Gras celebration, go to Brazil at Carnival Time. New Orleans is much too tame in comparison.

It's held in New Orleans, LA, but it's not just on Bourbon Street.
Only the tourists looking to make a fool of themselves go to Bourbon Streets.
For those of you looking for more "family friendly," there are plenty of families set up along St. Charles Ave and Napoleon Ave.

New Orleans is most famous. There are many other cities that celebrate it though. Before the storm all surrounding cities had a pretty good party too.
