absolutely! Some of my happiest teen memories are of being in the changing rooms with all those hunky jocks. I was one of them at the time and very much in the closet. I never messed around with my team mates, but man was it great fantasy material when I was in bed alone at night to think of those hot young studs. I would hate to deprive other gay teen males of that experience.

I think they should have different change rooms. Otherwise, why not just make it co-ed. Some of the responses say they should share because even though some are gay that does not mean they will rape. Well, the same goes for heterosexual, just because male likes female and vice versa does not mean they will rape. So that is not a good argument. People should be able to change clothes without the sexual overtones that may make them feel uncomfortable.

I am in high school, participate in school sports and i don't really care that we share the same change rooms. The thing i have to say is to people who say stuff like, "They should not because that's like saying we should separate African-American girls and Caucasian girls". Well if your going to say that, then you would agree that male and females should share the same locker room? If you don't, then don't write about other situations in your answers because you don't even believe in your own way of thinking. Stop being hypocrites.

well, i understand your point of view. i have gays in my school as well, and all they really do is look us up and down, and if girls have loose shirts sometimes they loook down it. some girls get eerily disturbed, others coudln't care less. see, it depends on people's opinion. non-gays could be friends with gays and they might want to talk to their friend but if they're seperated they might get upset, while other girls may be comfortable. it mostly depends on people's opinions, such as there are people that have already answered saying that they enjoyed looking at the same genders' bodies (which was one of my examples above) and others saying that gays and non-gays should be seperated because of their same gender attraction.
But, you see, if gays are in one room, and straights are in the other, straights will be more comfortable (in my opinion) and gays may find sexual attraction to one another as they strip their clothes to change. so you have to think about that too. so consult it with teachers, students (straights and gays) and average their opinions. As well as people from Yahoo! Answers. Average all the answers and determine your answer from there, that's what I would do.

Well why not? Why should kids be segregated? I mean to put it into affect what would you do ask kids their sexuality?? By separating them you would be saying that all gay teens are perverts because of the threat that they would what pinch heterosexual kids? Would that also apply to lesbians, transsexuals, bisexuals and transgendered teens too? I mean you could hardly put lesbians and gay boys in the same changing rooms now can you??? Oh and that would be just awkward to for everyone else! So pleeeease have some bigger concerns and more important questions!

Absolutley, just because a teen is gay or heterosexual does not mean that they will "hit" on the other teens or that they will rub off on them and make them gay or heterosexual. These kinds of questions are popping up a lot lately. The way i see it, it is like asking if african american girls and caucasion girls should have the same change room no difference.

They have been doing it for decades with no major issues, I don't see why it would make a difference.
Besides, most young teens don't have a clear idea about their own sexuality, and there is no way anyone else can determine it, so how you would go about doing otherwise is beyons me.
It is ridiculous to think of having 4 change rooms (gay, lesbian, stright male, straight female), no wait, you'd need 5 (bi-sexual), don't forget one for the asexual kids (that makes 6), and what about those with transgendered or transexual identities (we are up to 8).
What is this, Nazi Germany.... what a bizarre question.

Yes. Guys have the same equipment whether they are gay or not , same with the gals. If you were forced to change in a women's lockeroom would you force yourself sexually on a women. I hope not . I have been an athlete my whole life and never have once worried about it or even thought about it.

I don't see a problem with it. If I had to share a room with someone that is gay. I wouldn't care as long as they left me alone. If they did try something then they would have a problem.

That's a hard one. There's the "they separate the genders" argument, but are you really going to force high school kids to "come out" in such a drastic way? High school kids can be so cruel to each other (as can adults); so why give them just one reason? A guy at my high school came out as being bisexual and his parents took him out of school because of the way he was treated. Everyone else kept it carefully hidden until years later.
