+ Illegal Aliens. The word Illegal implies that they have done an illegal act so perhaps they should learn English in jail before they are returned to where they are legal. Nice for us to help them out so much.

When in Rome then do as the Romans do ,,,, When in America speak as the Americans speak ,,,, It irritates me to no end when I try to read the instructions to an appliance I've purchased or anything else ,,,, You have to look through the entire pamphlet to find the English version ,,,, There are over 12 million of these maggots infesting our country illegally and it's only going to get worse if something isn't done about it soon,,,, Some kind of a deterrent should be imposed ,,,, They come here for jobs and they bring their poverty ,, disease ,, and criminal elements with them ,,,,, They are a drag on the American tax pay and the aliens that are here legally ,,,, Strict regulations should be placed on these people and should be made to go back where they came from ,,,, By force if necessary ,,,, Legislation should be enacted to the effect that anyone who earns a pay check in this country should be a documented legal citizen ,,,, If you aren't a citizen or a legal alien then you shouldn't be allowed to get paid ,,,, If you remove the incentive for them to come here then they wouldn't be breaking our laws by being here in the first place ,,,, Yet these different companies and establishments seem to cater to them ,,,, This should be stopped too and levies placed on any company or business that employs them ,,,, If they don't have a reason to come here then they wouldn't be here in the first place ,,,, We have to establish deterrents ,,,, If they want to work here then fine ,,,, but they should have to be legal before they get paid for it ,,,,

They should either be sent back or learn our language and laws. We would have to if we went to their country. English is quickly becoming the SECOND language in America. Don't you remember? Not long ago, the White House (I think it was) was trying to have our National Anthem translated into Spanish. This is the US. I believe foreigners should come over here if they want to. But they need to apply for a green card or citizenship AND knowing the English Language should be a part of the test they have to take to gain citizenship. I believe the Govt. should start getting tougher on illegals. The illegals didn't vote them into office. The Americans who speak English did.

Yes, you are 100% accurate. This is and English country. When the Norwegians came to America, they had to learn English. Same goes for the Irish, German, Bohemian, Austrian, Danish, Swedish, Chinese, Japanese, Iranians, Eygyptians, Jewish, African, Greek, Italian, Russian, and all other cultures. They had to learn to speak our English language. So why should we learn Spanish, to tolerate the Mexicans ? Don't get me wrong. I respect the Mexican People, but they are now in America and need to speak English. Good question !

YES, Immigrants " Legal" coming into this country all use to learn the language to be an American, Remember our History NEVER did another language take precedence over English! Why should America change for a bunch of anchor babies born here so their families can live here and we learn their language!!

Anyone coming to or living in this country should LEARN TO SPEAK OUR LANGUAGE!!! I bought a jar of face cream the other week; the front of the jar it was in part English. When I got home and looked at the directions inside; it was ALL DIFFERENT LANGUAGES, EXCEPT ENGLISH!!! Give me a break! I'm afraid to use the stuff now.

They must speak English even if they are in the process of becoming legal, the INS must have that as a requirement to qualify for legal status. Which at this time has never been done.

Anyone that wants to live in the US should learn English like all the immigrants that came before them did.
It's funny how only one group of people seems to have so much trouble learning English. Even people who use totally different alphabets somehow manage to learn English. Yet one group just cannot. I guess we are not all really created equal after all, since one group seems to be somewhat dumber than all the rest.

Ummm... should be cuz is another country but remember Texas and California where part of Mexico and that land has millions of Mexicans, you can't make them speak just one languaje we have the hispanic languaje in our blood, anyway if you know more than one languaje you will be better somehow, think about it. There's no limits, open your mind.

Well, a lot of sociologists believe that it is beneficial for the US to keep the Hispanics speaking Spanish instead of English. The purpose would be to keep them at a lower class status than regular Americans. Our founding fathers thought it was better when the slaves didn't speak English.
Since the illegal aliens are segregating themselves by choice with their language, maybe they should continue on as slave labor?
