cheapest bang for the buck is a nitrous system. there available in 50-100hp complete kits. If your car is a true CFI (central fuel injected) with a throttle body with 2 fuel injectors on it you may want to think about converting it to either a 4v carb or port fuel injection off of a newer must ( 87-93) 89 and up being equipped with MAF which is very easy to add nitrous or supercharger. Also note 85 cfi heads are not that great power makers. For parts info try summit racing or jegs (both have web sites).

if its a 85 5.0 cfi,it must have a aod auto trans , if so the best thing to do it to install a set of rear end gears stock should be 2.73, install a set of 3.55 or a set of 3.73 if you don't do to much long high speed driving 75mph+ , also replace the stock headers with some larger aftermarket shorty headers, they bolt right up, theres not to much performance stuff for the cfi. if you had efi multi port, you would have lots more options, try gears and aftermarket headers, you will love it, flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers will make it sound great also.
