I would challenge you to read the book "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis. In this book, Lewis starts with some basic assumptions about humanity and lays out a logical thought process to whether there really is a God, and is that God the God of the Bible. Lewis was an atheist who set out to prove that there was no God, and that Christians were living a blind faith. The more he used logic and reasoning to disprove the God of the Bible, the more convinced he was that the God of the Bible had to be true.
So, if you are willing to commit the time, go down to the library and check out this book. Whether you come to the same conclusion as Lewis or not, it will give you a much better insight into why Christians believe as they do.

No one dared so far to claim creating, or being able to create, any single thing, even a hair!! The Creator and The Sustainer of all these Creatures is One only; if there were more than one there would have been confusion in the heavens and the earth! That One is Allah (the only true God).
Can we find an explanation of the great universe? Is there any convincing interpretation of the secret of existence? We realize that no family can function properly without a responsible head, that no city can prosperously exist without sound administration, and that no state can survive without a leader of some kind. We also realize that nothing comes into being on its own. Moreover, we observe that the universe exists and functions in the most orderly manner, and that it has survived for hundreds of thousands of years. Can we, then, say that all this is accidental and haphazard? Can we attribute the existence of man and the whole world to mere chance.
In the world then there must be a Great Force in action to keep everything in order. In the beautiful nature there must be a Great Creator who creates the most charming pieces of art and produces everything for a special purpose in life. The deeply enlightened people recognize this creator and call him Allah 'God'. He is not human because no human can create or make another human. He is not an animal nor is He a plant. He is neither an idol nor is He a statue of any kind because none of these things can make itself or create anything else. He is different from all of these things, because He is the maker and keeper of them all. The maker of anything must be different from and greater than the things which he makes.
Imagine yourself in an aeroplane and you know it is
going to crash...
Who do you turn to for help then ?
Or on a ship in the sea, thrown helplessly up and down
by towering waves ...
There will have been a situation at one time or the
other in your life when you called upon your Creator
alone, forgetting everyone and everything else,
hoping, trusting, wishing that the Being you know in
your heart and soul that has power and control over all
things would help you. The only One you know can
save you!
Scientists, even though they are able to reproduce human and animal life through artificial processes like in-vitro fertilization and cloning, cannot accomplish these feats without the basic elements of human life that consist of genes and cells and other organic properties. Scientists are not able to create these things. Even the processes that are used by scientists to accomplish various procedures originated from a source whose intellect was obviously far greater than those who seek to discover and imitate the creative processes.

Lol. God doesn't want Physical Proof just laying around. If he did, there would be some. Well, to some people there would be some, to others you could not make them believe if God himself came down, burn out their eyes with his Glory, they would just say, "did you see that?" In other words, they have no imagination and don't want to believe. God wants us to take him on Faith. Why? Because if you can love, respect, fear, admire and worship him without seeing him, how much more so will you when your life becomes easier with his faith affecting your life? Also, he's left us promises that he will keep, and you know what, even if he doesn't exist, isn't living with something to believe in and being happy, much nicer than not having that? So, He does exist and I see him in trees, feel him in the wind, feel his kindness in music, in the great taste of food. There are so many things not necessary to live a great life that we have, such as appreciation for the taste of food, we could just absorb our food for nutrients and spit the waste back out. But instead we enjoy it, why? Its not a evolutionary "must." Just getting the required nutrients is required. Same for music that touches us. Same for our imaginations, our ability to feel emotions, our interests that have nothing to do with "keeping ourselves alive" when technically that's all we should be worried about from an evolutionary standpoint. 'nuff said.
Besides, prove he doesn't exist!

well, scientists can prove the big bang theory all the way back to the singularity of the universe. However, they cannot go beyond that. If you where to say that the singularity is a speck of dust and the universe was created from it (and earth, humans and all that be) then where did that speck of dust come from. At some point, it is believed, that God must have been involved as there is no scientific explantions beyond that.

to specifically answer the question "HOW can you prove God exists"
One must simply look inside themselves. FOr as much as Science dislikes the term relative, it's relativity that makes us what we are. It is relative in our individual perspectives. I see the Creator in everything I look at. it's as much a matter of not just what you look at , but HOW you look at it also.
Science is great for using relativity when it's convenient, take einsteins own theory of relativitiy, there are major space and propulsion breakthroughs that rely on relativity.
however, social scientists refuse to accept relativity because it dosn't conform to a nice neat package where they can lump everyone into to make a pill for them in exact measurements to make people do what they want.
oops, even those are relative to body mass and tolerance levels.
Too see the Creator, to Know the Creator is around and within , one must see things from different angles, different perspectives. when we begin to see the subtle nuances and unique amongst the living things on earth, we begin to understand differently. we begin to see threads that run through every other thing and tie them together in ways not seen or noticed before.
You can see God everywhere and anywhere, you just have too look for him with more than your eyes.

You can't. My best answer from people who believe is that you just feel his presence, feel him inside you. My usual response is that this feeling is a chemical reaction in your brain caused by delusional feelings of love for a fictional character in a book, written in an extremely timeless fashion, as a means of societal control.
Sorry...try reading some Aquinas. He was a God believer who tried to tackel the God-proof obstacle. It is a decent starting point.

Some might argue that if the existence of God could be proven then using freewill in choosing to have faith would no longer be necessary.

You can't.
And all the people who say "how can you prove that God doesn't exist" are just plain STUPID.
That's like saying "Potato Chip Monsters must exist, because you can't prove that they DON'T exist!"
Some people are just too brainwashed by their own religion....
It's like a cult or something.
