My boyfriend always wants me to be the first to tell him anything, like ' I love you' or ' I want this from you' and 'please do this for me' and he replies me exaclty the same way or is happy to do those things for me. Is this normal for lovers? Shouldn't he be taking the first steps sometimes too? (I know he is very shy but that does not make me very happy).

something he is doing makes you very happy....or you wouldn't be with him.....he likes a woman to be in control and you seem to be doing that well!

Be truthful...If your not happy with something in a relaltionship you need to tell the other person or you will never be completely happy. By not telling them you could make the relationship worse. If he want to make you happy he will do what it takes, if that means coming out of his shell then so be it.

some people are shy by nature, i am shy too
Because of shyness i didn't had a gf till now
you can wait for some time and ask him to be feel free and show couple of guys who are not shy with women
give him a hug when he feels shy

i think thats completly stupid.It's all about how u feel.If u feel that u love him tell him.If he feels that he wants sumthin from you he should tell u.It's a relationship not a "who's gonna dish it out first"contest,based on how u feel,tell him when ur ready,and he should do the same thing.if only one of you is telling ur feelings the other one could b miserable,and only feel the same way 2 make u happy when he/she doesnt..like a tag along

he may be shy.....but he'll come around. some guys arent so traditional, and this world now isnt all to traditional. take advantage that he is so shy. you can then tell him how you feel. its ok and eventually he'll come around, but dont try to pressure him, you'll just make him feel more shy. good luck and just take it slow
