My mother in law was going to buy one for my 4 year old for christmas, but read some reviews on them that said they were not very good. Has anyone purchased one of these for their children and had problems? Please tell me what you think of these before she spends the money on it, and it turns out to be a bad gift. Thanks!!

I have actually heard a lot of great things about it. We bought one for our boys for Christmas this year. We looked at all of the different ones offered and thought this one was the best. The controller looked very easy to do.

The only bad thing I heard was that the graphics are not that great but they looked the same as the rest of the kiddie game systems.

I got one for my kids last Christmas and they really seem to like it. My boys are 3 and 4 now and they still play with it. I have the game that came with it and the Toy Story game. We haven't experienced any problems with ours so far. Tell your mother-in-law to keep in mind that when she gets the game system, she's going to have to buy the 12V adaptor cord seperately. At least that's how it was last year when we got ours.

My four year old uses hers quite well, but some of the games are difficult for her. It might be wise to wait a year for the V-Smile.
I don't know if they still sell it but my daughter loves her Kasey Kinderbot and also loves her Learn through Music from Fisher Price. Hope this helps!
