Paganism is an umbrella term for all of the various non-Abrahamic faiths. They were never one entity to begin with.

Paganism is not a religion. it is an umbrella term for many belief systems. there are many different religions in this group.

Celtic Pagan
Wicca
Astrau
Hindu
Greek and Roman God and Goddess worship.

and about 400 more.

within each branch we are not devided we are just traditional.
most of us believe that religion is a personel thing and we gather in small groups and share personell experiences and teachings.
called Grove or Coven (usually) these groups may choose a leader (priest) or not. each tradition is different and each tradition respects that differance.

the Celtic people would go to war over many things. hunting and fishing lands. terratory rights etc. but i do not know of a single reliable account of a celtic tribe attacking another tribe over religion. same can be said for the Native Americans.

when you see many traditions on Paganism this is not what devides us it is what defines us.

a Celtic Pagan (myself) and a Wiccan (or any other religion that respects us)can enter the same sacred circle together and worship together with no conflict.
because er realise that the other person is just on a different path.

Paganism was never divided because it was never one religion. Christianity started off as one church and one belief and then became divided. Pagan religions have always been separate entities. pagans had different Gods and different beliefs about death and the place you go afterward. Pagan religions were regional.
