About 3 years ago I was driving down a back country road in GA when I saw a dog sitting in a ditch. Now...where I live people are always dropping off dogs so you kinda get use to it, so I kept driving. Didn't take long for me to look in the rearview mirror and see that dog watching me drive on. Couldn't help but turn around... you know...just "to check on her". Yeah right....lol, I fell in love with her as soon as I had drivin' by the first time so I put her in the back seat...took her to the vet.....and right now she is laying beside me all content with the world. :-) Bandit is the best dog I could ever ask for. I thank God everyday for leading me to her and her to me. Thanks for letting me share. Have a goo day and Bandit says, "woof!" :-)

You know what is really funny? My dad got our dog a little over a year ago . . we really were not happy about it because all of us kids are grown and almost out of college, and both parents work so she never had anyone really to take care of her. Well I took it upon myself to spoil my dog by buying her treats and taking her for long truck rides, she loves this it causes her to go nuts when I jiggle the keys. All you say is "ride" and she becomes animated and if she does not get her ride she will pout. Anyway I have done everything for her, yet she does not like to be loved on. So when I want to love on her she pushes away. The only one she really lets love on her is my dad, is something wrong with this picture? It is really quite humorus though, I wouldn't trade her for the world. So yes I appreicate my dog a whole lot even though she is a brat sometimes.

I appreciate my little Esperanza more than anything. She brings me such joy. She is a 14 week old Bichonpoo. She is a cute little fur ball. She is so smart and funny. She is easily trainable. I love it when she snuggles up next to me and gives me puppy kisses. She is a real sweetheart.

My cutie pie makes friends wherever she goes. She finds herself babysitters and doggy sleepovers. She likes cats. We are lucky to have a dog with the perfect temperament and great personality. And the faces she makes. We ask her to smile for pictures. She smiles, tongue out. She melts our hearts with her "love you" eyes. She loves to spoon. When she sits, she fits under our chins. We wrap our arms around her perfect height. When she returns affection, she squashes her head, chest, shoulders into our torsos, like we're towels drying her head.
She has a special relationship with fresh snow, tunneling into drifts, her head beneath the snow as she moves across the field. She then springs like a bunny, dodging in her glee, tossing clumps of flakes with her nose. She was a Colorado puppy nine years ago.
She wipes her feet exactly 3 times when she comes through the door, we have a white carpet. My walking friend remarked that her old dog was a dud compared to my little girl's personality, stating "your dog is just plain cool." As she spoke, my beaming dog skidded short of us, dropping her ball in front of us imploring us to throw, bounding after it, beautiful muscles rippling in the sun.
She lost her ball later after carrying it across the field, stopping from time to time to slowly chomp her mouth, testing the ball's resistance. I send her back for her ball, but she doesn't know what she did with it. She searches all over. It is a collaboration. I point out the ball, she carries it back.
We play hide and seek. Wherever we are, we have her bounding between us. She identifies our friends by their names too. She's able to pick the person we ask her to greet. I wish she remembered the names of her toys.
We just taught her to ring a bell at the back door if she wants to go out. She is taken out on a set schedule, but sometimes she may have to go: go outside, enjoy the change in scenery, maybe get a walk, ride in the car, go to the store, go swimming, play ball; then return, wipe her feet, sit on her supper mat, and do something to get a treat. Great system. She figured it out.
We wonder if she's spoiled, but her return feature works promptly. She sits when she reaches us. She heels when she must walk carefully with us, or if we ask her to walk with us, she sticks around. She waits patiently to follow us through doors and stairs. She sits, long stays undistracted, stands, backs up, moves over, lays down, rolls over, lifts her feet, wags her tail, drinks water, scratches her back, and grudgingly lets me cut her nails, when requested. She jumps into the tub for baths and shakes when we ask. She knows not to stare when we say "no begging". She knows to wait before eating, and will sit still, ignoring distractions when a treat is looming.
She's a terrier, obsessed with her ball, amazing to watch riding the waves in pursuit of her tennis ball. She's getting old now, but she still gets great air jumping for balls. I count her runs to return the ball I've whipped across the field with the chucker. Sometimes she makes it to 19. On peppier days and a water break, 25. She is allowed to swim for 10 minutes, whether at the beach or the stream, or she'll puke. We watch her hind legs to see if they quake. She plays hard, and would kill herself if we didn't limit her. She's a tennis ball obsessed terrier. If you throw a frisbee to her, it would bonk her on the head. She doesn't get frisbees. No idea.
Our four-legged fuzz ball has us charmed by her antics. We absolutely love her and appreciate every moment we spend with her. She was never class trained. She's a natural. For all of her energy, she's very controlled, doesn't bark, and hates when you make her howl. Right now, she's dreaming, kicking, and faintly wo-wooing under her breath.
