About 12 is way too young to be even considering having a boyfriend at all, so I am not surprised his mother thinks you are too young.
15 is the very earliest you should be considering having a boyfriend.
What are you seeing as your future? Married at 16 and babies and nappies, or going to college and establishing a career?
Mind you, looking at your English the college and career don't seem to be strong possibilities unless you start concentrating in school.
EDIT: The added information that he is in Special Ed goes further to explaining his parents concerns. They will be very concerned that while he has the body of a young man, he does not have the mental age to go with it and that you are way too young to handle that.
Where are your parents? Why are you not talking about this with your mother?

You can not make someone like you. You are young and have to learn in time about people. Especially mothers. They not always like the girl, though some will and some will in time. But, I have seen many that never really like the girl. Lot of reasons I guess and not go into all that. Most times the Dad likes the girl. His Dad may think when you were crying you too immature to be in a relationship anyway. Just realize this how it is.

They`re upset that their son is going out with a twelve year old! There really isn`t much you can do about it. Just try to be polite and kind to them, even if they insult you. I know four years isn`t considered a big age difference for adults, but untill you`re around eighteen, its a big deal. Most people under eighteen allow a year age difference; two maximum.

His parents don't have to like you, for one you are a bit young to have a boyfriend. But as you get older you will learn that not everyone likes everyone else, we just learn to tolerate certain people. Try being nice to his parents, using good manners and being polite. You get more bees with honey.

sorry to hear you're having problems with your man's parents.
they probably don't like you because they think you are too young for their kid. and you probably are. sorry to tell you this, you may be mature, but to parents you are just a disaster waiting to happen. no matter what 16 year old you date, if his parents care about him, they will disapprove of the relationship. so you should be lucky that they tolerate you and allow him to see you. what do your parents say about your relationship??

Your to young. It's not that his parents don't like you they just feel you are way to young to be involved with their 16 year old son.

you are too young to be anyone's "girlfriend". his parent's are perfectly right to freak out. if their son were to be doing anything with you he could be arrested. you need to be playing with dolls, not boys honey
