Good question. Who would charge them with war crimes? The UN? That's a joke. The truth is no one will ever charge them. And Nothing can ever be done about it. People in this country (US) want to treat our soldiers as if they were monsters for killing terrorists. Our troops deserve many thanks. Compared to Russian war strategies we are saints!

The only formidable organisation thats charging Russia with war crimes esp. in Chechnya is the Amnesty international. Who else would dare touch a nuclear power? The U.S helped the mujahideen free Afghanistan other wise it would have been the Chechnya of the past. But then, whats the difference between present day grozny and kabul?

war crime charges against russian soldiers were never sought, either by the afghans or any other governments. that is not to say such did not occur since the russian military was known for its cruelty towards any enemies it met on any battlefield.
