You are young and presumably healthy, so despite what any alarmists on this site say, it is unlikely the flu would land you, personally, in the hospital or morgue.
Think about the sickest you've ever been, though, for a moment. Imagine yourself hurting all over, throwing up once an hour for two straight days. Imagine yourself unable to move off of your couch and just wanting to kill yourself. This is likely how the flu will treat you.
Then think about how you feel about shots, both before and after you have one. Honestly, for some people with a severe phobia, the thought of a shot really is worse than the thought of two days of flu misery.
Do whatever makes you feel less like you might die. For me, it's the shot. For my husband, the flu. Don't agonize too much over your decision.

Having it in March does not mean that you can't get it again this flu season. Your mom and health teacher are right you should get one to avoid getting sick. This can hit especially hard in dorm situations. Let the practitioner giving the shot that you really hate needles and they will have you sit down instead of stand and ease you through the process as much as possible. The shot itself really does not hurt. Your arm may ache for the rest of the day though, that's common.

Its not a good idea to get a flu shot because there's a known link between getting a flu shot and memory loss. And after getting a shot there's still a chance you could get the flu. I don't think its worth it, instead you should build your immunity with the right herbs, diet and exercise. Tell your mom that it might cause memory loss and she won't want you to get it anymore.

No. Flu shots have many weird side effects.
Do NOT get vaccinated.
A vaccinated person is MORE likely to get a disease than a non-vaccinated person. The whole theory of vaccination is flawed. It causes a weakening of the immune system thus making those who are innoculated more susceptible to disease.
There are so many awful side effects to vaccination that it should be considered extremely dangerous.
Just sit back and think for a while.
Is there any sense in injecting a disease directly into your body.
We have been subjected to an awful mind control program to enable the drug manufacturers to make a fortune.

You will find all the forms necessary to provide exemption for your child.

I got my first flu shot this year and i was scared too but it was nothing it was like getting scratched by a cat it didn't hurt at all.
I was a little tried the next day but that is normal. You should get a flu shot, the flu spreads like wild fire in colleges. and It's free.

You're in college and you're worried about a dumb flu shot? I just got mine an hour ago and hardly felt it.
The 6 year old who went in before me didn't even shed a tear. I'll tell ya what. Where I go they give shots really high up in the arm where it doesn't really hurt as much as lower. Try that.

Get the shot. It takes just a few seconds and is not that bad. It beats being sick for 2 weeks.

The shot takes one second, it doesn't even hurt unless you tense your muscles. The flu is horrid, and you suffer near death for at least a week. Please take the shot.

maybe depends on how many shots you get a year. The more the worse. But if you don't get many shots go ahead it's for your health.
