you need antibiotics. don't fool with your hearing, and stick nothing in your ear smaller than your elbow.

I have the same thing right now.
Over the weekend, I've taken the sinus tabs with an expectorant (it helps loosen the stuff up so it can come out), but the infection will not go away until you take an antibiotic. I'll be calling/seeing my doctor tomorrow.
It's deep in there, so it's not like a typical wax buildup where you could use the various remedies for that. If you don't take care of it, though, you could end up with a pretty nasty ear infection as well, and that will be even more painful than a bad sinus infection.
For the short term, try using moist heat on your sinuses and your ear. A gel pack, heated according to instructions, wrapped in a towel and applied to your ear and sinuses could ease some of the pressure, allowing you a very temporary (from a few seconds to a few hours) break from the clogged ear and painful sinuses.
All that is short term, though, and you should see your doctor ASAP. Another alternative is a clinic, since probably 90% of what they see is infections of one kind or another.
Feel better!

Afrin sinus spray and sudafed together will open up your sinuses which is why you can't hear. I lost my hearing completely for 6 months one time due to a sinus infection and when it finally came back I only have about 40% of my hearing in my right ear and 80% in my left. Also, lay your head on the table with one ear facing up and put a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in the ear canal. Let it fizz for a few minutes then tip you head over, drain it, and put some more in it. It doesn't hurt and kind of tickles a little. I get this problem all the time and I hate it. Antibiotics alone won't get rid of the congestion.

Use a decongestant and sleep with your head slightly elevated so the ear will drain properly. Drink lots of fluids, the act of swallowing causes the eustacian tube to unblock itself. If your ear remains blocked for more than two days or becomes painful, see a doctor. Ear infections can cause hearing loss.

If you have an infection, you NEED to go to a doctor. The infection CAN get worse & it CAN spread....
Just go to an Urgent Care Clinic & get it taken care of. Infections are your bodies way of letting you know that there is a problem it CAN'T handle.....

These are really a pain but you should be on antibiotics or the infection could linger and cause other problems. If you want some temporary relief try taking a warm bath and submerge your ears, clean them out carefully with q-tips and try to sleep in a position that allows it to drain. I hope you get better soon!

If you have an infection, you will need to go the doctor to get anibiotics. Only when your head stops draining infection will your ears clear up too.

Boil an egg and then put it into a tube sock. Then lay with the egg in the sock over your ear. If you can rest some like that leave it on there as long as you can. Then when you wake up you are going to have a bad, runny, yucky nose. My husband has used this remedy and swears by it.

You need to take something to unpack your sinuses. I use guafenisan (not sure of the spelling). It's available over the counter and it works great! Also, eucalyptus oil in steaming hot water works wonders.
