I see them too in the dark.. and I have 20/20 vision so I don't think there is anything wrong with you unless it becomes prominate.

Ask your family doctor it couldn't hurt.

I always thought it was for this reason...... your eyes are made up of rods and cones that pick up light and color

I see this as being similar to pixles on a tv

our eyes have pixles so to say, and in the dark for our eyes to create the image, you get light and dark pixilation... just my opinion...

when it's really dark I see static, not just black..... I know exactly what your talking about

your the first person who has ever said this

Rods and cones are how we perceive color. If you've ever seen the blue man group they do a sequence about it and explains it very well. Here are two sites that may help you.
IF you see spots all the time you need to see an opthomogist and make sure your eyes are okay.
Good luck!

Well its a matter of our eye being tired over light. Thats why we experience such a vision just after we close our eyes or in case of a sudden power failure during the night. The brain records the happenings just before the present values.

It's stuff in the fluids of your eyes. It's normal but if you see them all the time, it could be a problem, your retna maybe detaching.
