Anytime! Where in the world can one see things 5000 years old alongside those that are super sophisticated and ultra modern. You name your interests and China caters - history, scenery, food, architecture, heritage sites, whatever. Accommodation is plentiful and cheap and travel is easy. Language? No problem in bigger towns and cities; but even in the interior, one can get by quite easily. China hosts the 2008 Olympics and is even now fast transforming itself. It is one of the world's top three economies and is a country not to be missed. Because it is so vast and varied, one would really need weeks if not months or many visits to really savour and enjoy the country - but the efforts are well worth it.

Certainly. The country has over 6,000 years of history. China is also the source of many great technical inventions developed throughout world history. I would surely go again before or on year of 2008 when China is hosting the Olympic for the first time.

YES, I already did, several times since 1984, and I will again repeatedly...China is the only country that I can visit over and over without being tired of it. It is fascinating in all aspects: geographically, socially, historically, culturally, economically, etc.

Of course I would. It's a great place (if you get over the fact that it's a communist country) and it has a bunch of interesting cities/landscapes/etc. And it's fun (at least to me) to see what kind of fads goes on in China.

Absolutely. I just graduated college and I am 23 years old. So far I have been there twice (Sept 04 and Jan 06). I am dying to go back. No danger, fun sights to see, rich history and culture, very inexpensive, great shopping opportunities, typically interesting people, English widespread.

Depends on whose is paying! I checked it over pretty well on Google Earth and like any other country they have cool places and bad parts. I think I would like to go to see the great wall just to say I touched it. I also would like to meet their common citizens to see what they are really like.
